Tottenham to accept multi-million loss on Bryan Gil amid Fabrizio Romano update
Bryan King believes Bryan Gil’s time at Tottenham is up amid a Fabrizio Romano update.
The ex-Spurs scout feels that the Spaniard will be playing his football elsewhere next season.
It comes after Fabrizio Romano revealed via X (11 April) that the winger is only keen on a permanent exit, with a loan move currently not of interest to the 23-year-old.
Tottenham News exclusively revealed (18 April) that Daniel Levy is prepared to accept a £6.6millon loss on Gil this summer by letting him go for £15million and King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes that this is the right decision from Levy, despite the loss he is set to make.
“As long as Postecoglou is there, Gil has no future at Tottenham,” King said.
“He clearly doesn’t have the confidence of Postecoglou because he hasn’t been playing regularly. Therefore if he wants first-team football, I think he needs to look elsewhere and move on from Tottenham.
“Sometimes in football, you do need to accept that you’re going to make a loss on a player.”
Will Ange Postecoglou let Bryan Gil leave Tottenham this summer?
Things just haven’t worked out for Gil in a Spurs shirt.
While there is clearly talent there, it appears as if Gil is just too lightweight to make it in the Premier League.
After his previous success in Spanish football, a move back to his native country could suit the forward down to the ground.

Not every player is cut out for English football, and Gil seems to be one of those players, although, after his limited contributions this season, Levy might struggle to fetch a fee of £15million.
The Spurs chairman will likely do everything he can to secure a reasonable price, but what is most important is that Gil is moved on this summer.
In other Tottenham news, Postecoglou could soon hand one Under-21 Spurs sensation his debut after footage emerged of what he did recently.
