Tyrese Hall ‘to demand Tottenham transfer exit’ after what happened on Sunday

Tyrese Hall has every right to fume at Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs suffered their 13th Premier League defeat of the season on Sunday (26 January) as they were beaten 2-1 by Leicester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Jamie Vardy aiming a cheeky dig at the injured James Maddison in the process.

As a result, tensions in North London were very high, with Postecoglou appearing to clash with one of his own supporters at full-time.

The Australian will likely point toward Spurs’ injury crisis as the reason for their poor form, with Daniel Levy doing very little to help his manager – something which the home faithful voiced their displeasure of on Sunday.

Spurs have such few players available that they were unable to fill their bench against Leicester.

However, despite the empty spaces, there was still no place in the squad for Hall, who will no doubt be frustrated with Postecoglou and should be doing everything in his power to leave the club before 3 February.

Hall featured heavily in Spurs’ pre-season preparations. However, he hasn’t been offered a single first-team opportunity this season, while he has watched some of his Under-21 teammates from last season make their debuts for the club or head out on loan.

As a result, the midfielder has been linked with a loan move of his own in the winter transfer window [via Sky Sports News, 21 January, 12:36 pm].

And after what happened on Sunday, he should be fighting tooth and nail to secure a move.

While Postecoglou had gaps on his bench, Hall still wasn’t afforded a place in the squad and was instead part of Spurs’ Under-21 team which beat Liverpool Under-21s 2-0 in Premier League 2 at the Lamex Stadium.

Hall would have no doubt been pleased with this result. However, he likely would have much preferred to be included in Spurs’ first-team on Sunday, and it is quite baffling that he wasn’t considering there were spaces on Postecoglou’s bench.

Therefore, it seems as though a loan move would be best.
