Tyrese Hall ‘ready to quit Tottenham for good’ after what happened on Monday

Tyrese Hall might finally be ready to quit Tottenham for good after yet another frustrating evening for the 19-year-old on Monday.

Hall featured heavily under Ange Postecoglou during pre-season and was expected to have a breakout campaign with Tottenham as a result.

However, while a host of talented young players have been handed opportunities in the first-team this season, the midfielder is yet to be given any such opportunity of his own.

Therefore, it looked as though Hall was set to leave Spurs on loan during the winter transfer window. However, a move failed to materialise, and the youngster has instead been left to feature for a struggling Under-21s side, who suffered yet another disappointing defeat on 17 February.

Tottenham Under-21s beaten by Manchester City Under-21s

After storming to the Premier League 2 title last season, Spurs’ Under-21s have struggled to replicate that form this term, with most of the players that featured in that team either leaving the club on loan or being promoted to the first-team this season.

Players such as Jamie Donley and George Abbott are excelling away from the club, while Will Lankshear recently moved to West Brom on loan after spending much of the first half of the season in the Spurs first-team.

However, the one exception to this rule is Hall, who continues to feature for the Under-21s and started once again in a 2-0 Premier League 2 defeat to Manchester City at the Joie Stadium. Hall would have already been frustrated by his lack of first-team opportunities, and the fact that he has been left in a struggling Under-21s side.

However, after Alfie Dorrington became the latest player to leave on loan, and Spurs lost once again to City, Hall could now look to move on from North London.

Tyrese Hall ready to quit Tottenham?

Hall is a talented player who will likely feel as though his development is being stagnated at Tottenham.

He is unlikely to be gaining too much by playing in an Under-21s side, with a host of players who are younger than him, which is struggling to perform.

Therefore, after failing to secure a loan move in the winter, Hall could look to leave permanently this summer to continue his development, unless Ange Postecoglou can prove in the coming months that there is a pathway for the Englishman.

However, with just the Premier League and UEFA Europa League knockout stages left on the agenda for Tottenham, first-team opportunities are unlikely to be handed to Hall, which could all but seal his exit.
