Tottenham wonder Mikey Moore could feature v Arsenal after reports to Ange Postecoglou
Mikey Moore must be named in the Tottenham squad to face Arsenal on 28 April after Ange Postecoglou labelled him “outstanding” following reports from his coaches.
Aged just 16, Moore has been training with the first team at Hotspur Way, leaving the boss stunned by how well he has performed as he hasn’t looked out of place.
While being thrown into the squad for a North London derby would be somewhat of a baptism of fire for the gem, he has proven his ability to adapt to pressured situations already in training.
As shared by Fabrizio Romano on X [27 April], Postecoglou gushed: “Mikey Moore has been really good in training with us. Look, he’s a very talented boy. Reports I’ve had on him have always been outstanding. He hasn’t looked out of place and it’s great for him.”

The 16-year-old has scored 14 goals and provided eight assists in just 12 games in the Under-18 Premier League, helping to fire Spurs to the top of the table, as well as scoring two goals and providing one assist in two FA Youth Cup games. [Tranfermarkt]
A winger who can also fill in as a striker or a number ten, Moore’s attacking ability could bring further inspiration to a Tottenham side which has been flying going forward this season.
Moore has been playing up the age groups already for the academy sides, featuring for the Under-21s on several occasions this season despite his age, leading to the opportunity to train with the first team and make his mark on Postecoglou.
As detailed by the official Tottenham website, Moore became the youngest ever player to feature for the Under-21 side since the formation of the Premier League 2 when he played aged just 15 in April 2023.
Just over one year on, he could make yet another jump into the first team, having clearly impressed the manager and staff at Hotspur Way both with his performances in training and his adaptability to take the step up with ease.
Even a place on the bench for the first time would be a reward for his performances both in training and for the academy sides with the opportunity to travel and be involved in the matchday squad against Arsenal to gain that experience.
It has become clear that Moore is one of the most exciting players in the Tottenham academy and he must be shown the pathway to the senior team if he keeps up his performances.
