Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is continuing to put his faith in the club’s young players.
It has been a breakthrough season for many of Spurs’ Under-21 and Under-18 stars at Hotspur Way.
Both teams are flying high with the Under-21s top of Premier League 2 with a 100 per cent record in the competition this season while the Under-18s also sit top of the Under-18 Premier League South, albeit having played two games more than West Ham Under-18s.
Players such as Mikey Moore and Alfie Dorrington are beginning to garner more attention, while Jamie Donley has already been handed his first-team debut by Postecoglou.
It is clear that the Australian is not afraid to include the Under-21 stars with the first team, and that trend seems to have continued ahead of the Premier League clash with Brighton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 10 February.
In a photo from first-team training posted on Tottenham Hotspur’s official website (8 February), Under-21 star Max Robson can be seen among some of the club’s biggest stars.
A Tottenham star in the making?
Rubbing shoulders with the likes of Richarlison, James Maddison and Cristian Romero will only do Robson’s confidence the world of good.
Robson is the definition of a versatile player. Having previously operated as an attacking midfielder and at times centre-forward, the 21-year-old has been deployed as a full-back this season, playing on both the right and left flanks.
Considering Postecoglou’s preference for a high-flying full-back who influences the game in the final third, as Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie have showcased this season, Robson could be the perfect future player for the Australian.

He has featured in 10 Premier League 2 matches this season, grabbing a goal and two assists in that time, and could perhaps benefit from a loan move next season.
Having recently celebrated his 21st birthday, he is yet to cut his teeth in senior football, and now that he is on the radar of the first-team in North London his first big break might not be too far away.
In other Tottenham news, Postecoglou could axe one 50 per cent midfielder for the visit of Brighton.
