Tottenham U18 sensation Callum Olusesi could provide long-term midfield solution for Ange Postecoglou
If there is anything that Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou loves, it is a midfielder who can chip in with a few goals and assists.
Postecoglou has made an incredible impression during his short time in north London so far, and if his impressive start is anything to go by, the Australian could be around for quite some time.
It has been a while since Spurs had a project manager, someone with long-term ambitions at the club.

Both Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte were brought to Tottenham by Daniel Levy as ‘win-now’ managers, decorated figures who could make an immediate impact. When both of those reigns failed spectacularly, Levy went back to square one and decided to bring in a manager who could offer some long-term stability.
That is where Postecoglou came in, and the Australian has so far laid down the foundations for what promises to be an exciting future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Not since the days of Mauricio Pochettino have supporters had such a connection with their manager, and they will certainly hope the 58-year-old is here to stay.
He is already building a squad which will only get stronger over the next few years, a squad full of young exciting talent who share one common theme – their willingness to get forward and make an impact in the final third of the pitch.
Pedro Porro, Brennan Johnson, Destiny Udogie and James Maddison are just some examples of those at the club who still have their best years ahead of them, and it is clear that Postecoglou admires players who can provide an attacking threat.
With that in mind, one 16-year-old sensation who is already making waves at Under-18 level could soon crop up on the former Celtic manager’s radar as a long-term successor for the club’s older midfield players.

That man is Callum Olusesi, one of the many stars of Spurs’ Under-18 team this season which currently sits top of the Under-18 Premier League South.
Olusesi has started eight of the club’s 11 league fixtures across the current campaign, scoring four times from central midfield while also providing two assists along the way.
The midfielder also netted in the FA Youth Cup and is already making an impact on the international stage. Olusesi featured for England Under-17s during their UEFA European Championship qualifiers in November, scoring and assisting twice in his nation’s 5-0 victory over Kosovo Under-17s on 6 November.
If the midfielder continues to develop in the right way, he could certainly provide Postecoglou with a long-term solution in midfield in the years to come.
In other Tottenham news, one pundit has been wowed by the performances of one of the club’s recent recruits.
