Tottenham striker spotted signing contract at Hotspur Way as terms agreed
Tottenham Hotspur’s youth academy has once again proven itself to be one of the best in the country this season.
Mikey Moore is the latest to come off the youth team conveyor belt. Aided by injuries in the senior ranks, the 17-year-old has become something of a regular feature in the first team in the second half of the season.
The academy graduate has now made 10 Premier League appearances and even featured five times in Spurs’ triumphant Europa League campaign. His rapid progression has prompted suggestions that Moore could be ready to head out on loan to the Championship.
He has hit the headlines as the main academy breakthrough at the club this year, but there is still plenty more talent to come through Spurs’ youth ranks over the next few years.

Reiss Elliott-Parris has signed a professional contract
Moore’s ascension into the first team in the latter stages of this campaign has further cast the eye of fans towards Spurs’ academy, as they await the next young star to come through.
Tottenham have now been boosted by the news that another of their starlets, Reiss Elliott-Parris, has committed his future to the club by signing his first professional contract.
The 17-year-old frontman has been earmarked for big things at Hotspur Way and is already making the kind of progress that is sure to see him in line to receive senior minutes in the future.
Agreeing on professional terms is a big step for a club as well as a young player, as it protects them from having their best talents poached by clubs elsewhere, for relatively small compensation fees.
Elliott-Parris is expected to have a big future
Elliott-Parris has previously been named as “one to watch” John Wenham, the owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose. Wenham believes the young forward will likely earn a starting berth for the U21s in the near future, despite only being 17 at present.
Given the strides that the frontman has already made in his fledgling career, it’s easy to see why there are such lofty expectations of him at the club.
Elliott-Parris notched four goals and four assists from 22 appearances in the U18 Premier League this season, and has already made his bow in the well-regarded Premier League 2 for the U21s side.
If he continues to improve at his current rate, it may only be a couple of years before the youngster finds himself on the fringes of the first-team squad.
