Jaden Williams ‘to feature v Fulham’ after what Tottenham sensation did

Ange Postecoglou could reward Jaden Williams after what the Tottenham sensation did on Friday.

Spurs’ form in the Premier League this season has been incredibly underwhelming.

However, the North London club are in the last eight of the UEFA Europa League. Therefore, Postecoglou’s full focus should be on Europe between now and the end of the season.

With little left to play for domestically, the Australian is expected to make eight Tottenham changes against Fulham when the two sides meet in the Premier League at Craven Cottage on Sunday (16 March).

As a result, this could open the door for some younger players to be handed the opportunity to feature in a Premier League matchday squad, and if Postecoglou is considering giving out chances, the 59-year-old should look no further than Williams.

Williams on fire for Tottenham Under-21s

Spurs’ Under-21s thrashed Blackburn Rovers’ Under-21s 4-0 in the Premier League 2 on Friday (14 March) in a match which saw Mikey Moore send a message to Postecoglou.

However, the 17-year-old wasn’t the star of the show at the Lamex Stadium, with the headlines reserved for Williams’ eye-catching display.

The 20-year-old netted a hat-trick for Wayne Burnett’s side, with all three goals setup by midfielder Reiss-Alexander Russell-Denny.

Williams fired into the far bottom corner to score his first just before the break, before forcing the ball home from close range after a corner in the 62nd minute.

The forward then completed his hat-trick with a quarter of an hour left to play in Stevenage. As a result, Postecoglou is likely to have taken notice of this display.

Postecoglou should hand Williams a chance v Fulham

Spurs’ clash with Fulham is rather meaningless in the context of the North London club’s season.

As a result, this could be the perfect opportunity for Postecoglou to hand some young players opportunities and rest a few of his key first-team stars ahead of the international break.

Williams is already 20 years old and will be keen to make his Spurs debut soon, and now could be the perfect time for the club to take a look at him.
