Daniel Levy continues to plan for life under Ange Postecoglou as ‘top talent’ joins Tottenham
Tottenham are continuing to exploit the transfer market by signing some of the most talented young players around.
As per Alan Nixon via his Patreon (3 March), Tottenham have signed young goalkeeper Dylan Thompson after the shot-stopper decided to quit Norwich City.
Thompson has been training with Spurs and has now joined the club permanently, with Nixon describing him as a “top talent”.
Ange Postecoglou has made an impressive start to life as Spurs boss, and it appears that the club are planning for a bright future under the Australian by continuing to sign some of the best young players around.
Few people would have predicted that Tottenham would be competing for a place in the UEFA Champions League this season after they finished eighth in the Premier League last time out before their greatest-ever goalscorer Harry Kane left the club, with Tottenham News exclusively revealing that he is already open to a return.
However, within less than a year things have turned around quite considerably in North London, and supporters can begin to feel slightly more optimistic about the club’s prospects going forward.
One other factor which will increase those optimism levels among supporters inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the club’s transfer business.
While they are not signing a host of world-class talent for big money fees which may grab the headlines, what they are doing is shrewd business by bringing in young talent from around Europe.
Daniel Levy continues to search for hidden gems to bring to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Spurs recently completed the signings of two of the most coveted talents from across the continent.
Lucas Bergvall and Luka Vuskovic have both agreed to commit their futures to Tottenham, with the former set to join this summer while the latter will arrive at Hotspur Way in 2025 after he has turned 18.
These are two players who were sought after by some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Bergvall snubbing a move to Barcelona in favour of Tottenham, and while Thompson wasn’t necessarily as coveted as Bergvall or Vuskovic, his arrival signals that Spurs are continuing to think about the future.

Signing young talent is every bit as important as going out and securing the signature of the most in-from striker or defender at that time, and Spurs could see this long-term planning pay off in a big way down the line.
In other Tottenham news, one pundit has revealed that Kane’s return to Spurs is a “distinct possibility”.
