Ange Postecoglou will be concerned as to why Dane Scarlett is unable to perform at the same level for Tottenham as he does for England’s youth teams.
Scarlett is yet to make a real impact at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Since emerging onto the scene under Jose Mourinho three years ago, the striker has been unable to maintain a place in the first-team.
Loan spells with Portsmouth and Ipswich Town have proved ineffective while his limited appearances in a Tottenham shirt have been far from memorable.
However, the forward does not seem to have that same problem at international level.
Scarlett scored 12 goals in 14 appearances for England’s Under-19s and recently netted five times in two matches for England’s Elite League Squad (formerly Under-20s).
After his impressive performances for the Young Lions in March, Scarlett has once again been called up to feature for the England Elite League Squad (Tottenham Hotspur Official Website, 24 May).

For some reason, Scarlett loves to score in an England shirt.
And he will get the opportunity to do so once again when Ben Futcher’s side take on Sweden (7 June) and the Republic of Ireland (11 June).
But for Postecoglou, he will be concerned as to why the Englishman can’t bring that form back to North London.
In fairness, Scarlett has hardly been handed any opportunity to prove himself to the Australian.
He made just four appearances off the bench in the Premier League last season, featuring for a total of just 18 minutes.
However, Postecoglou clearly isn’t seeing enough from Scarlett in training to warrant handing him any more minutes.
This will come as a slight concern, although the striker only recently turned 20 and with three years left to run on his Tottenham contract, there is still plenty of time for him to make an impression under Postecoglou.
