Richarlison may never play for Tottenham Hotspur again.

The Brazilian almost left the Lilywhites during the summer transfer window in England, but other opportunities are still open.

Everton were said to have agreed a £35million fee to re-sign Richarlison, but he didn't want to make that move.

With Spurs missing out on Iliman Ndiaye at the same time, that move didn't go down very well.

Now, Roberto De Zerbi is making sure that he could leave, one way or another.

With a return to Brazil back on the cards, there are still several developments that need to be finalised.

What has happened with Richarlison now?

A return to Brazil or Saudi Arabia appear to be his only options on the table right now.

Raisa Simplicio of PLACAR has now reported that Tottenham were "irritated" by Richarlison's refusal for Everton.

It's further stated that people close to him feel that Spurs are retaliating over him not accepting that move.

Vasco De Gama want Richarlison, and he gave his green light to that move months ago, but an exit is considered difficult.

With Everton and clubs in Turkiye rejected, a return to Brazil would need to happen before their deadline on 11 September.

What have Tottenham decided?

Things are not looking good for the South American.

It's been made very clear that the striker will not feature in the Premier League again, regardless of what happens in the next week.

Simplicio goes onto report that Richarlison has been told he'll train and play with the under-21s until his situation is resolved.

How Richarlison could now leave Tottenham as post-deadline talks get underway

You'd expect that he'd have to suck it up and accept his wrongdoings to De Zerbi and the board to get back in senior action.

But, with Omar Marmoush and Dominic Solanke available, it's hard to see that happening anytime soon.

After spending hundreds of millions over the summer, it was embarrassing that Richarlison started against Brentford.

A humiliating 3-0 defeat followed, and the Brazilian was then an unused substitution against Charlton in the Carabao Cup.

That may be the last time he is seen in a Tottenham shirt.
