Tottenham work on sensational Son Heung-min return as possible arrangement opens up
Tottenham Hotspur could be set to welcome Son Heung-min back to North London this summer.
The 33-year-old departed North London last summer after a 10 year association with the Lilywhites.
Having scored over 170 goals in Spurs colours, he was given the dream send off by winning the Europa League.
He came off the bench in Bilbao and helped Ange Postecoglou's side to secure silverware for the first time in 27 years.
That only cemented the South Korea international's place in N17 folklore before his departure, but his journey might not be over just yet.
Son could soon be on his way back to Tottenham as a summer return has been mooted.
Tottenham hope to bring in additional income through Son Heung-min arrival
It is looking likely to be a summer of change in North London after back-to-back 17th place finishes.
Roberto De Zerbi has already moved to bring in Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi to kick off the summer.
Those fresh faces will make a difference for the Lilywhites, but it could be an old favourite who steals the headlines.
Former Tottenham scout Bryan King has revealed information from close to the N17 club that work is being done on a deal to bring Son back from LAFC.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, King said: "Tottenham have approached - and this is from someone who I know - that Spurs were trying to get Son back for a year, for the season coming.
"I think they want to get someone who wants to play for Tottenham and generate revenue. I would imagine they've lost a lot of revenue because they had thousands coming from Korea every week.
"He'd certainly generate some interest if he came back. There's always the possibility of him coming on loan."
Tottenham could sign Son on loan from LAFC
The Korea Republic international is one of the most likable Spurs players of all time and would be welcomed back with open arms.
He signed off in N17 having contributed to 22 goals and assists in a Europa League winning campaign.
Son has followed that up with a year at LAFC, where he has racked up 32 goal involvements for the MLS side.
That is a positive record and could serve him well should he return to North London to play in the Premier League.
A loan move could be favourable for the Lilywhites as they push to make a deal happen this summer.
Talks are seemingly underway between Spurs and LAFC, so it will be interesting to see if a transfer can be pushed over the line this summer.
