Tottenham win midfielder deal, terms agreed as Paris Saint-Germain snubbed
Tottenham Hotspur could struggle to attract top players in the summer should they fail to win the Europa League this season.
Spurs have endured a dreadful domestic campaign and are relying solely on their European progress to save both their long-term strategy and Ange Postecoglou‘s future.
Key performers have not shown up enough at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and injuries have ravaged the squad, but there could be a boost with a new contract for a midfield star.

Tottenham star rejected PSG in favour of new deal
Tottenham Hotspur fans are crying out for some good transfer or contract news to emanate from their side, and they have been handed a boost by an update that emerged on Wednesday (2 April).
Teenage sensation Callum Olusesi has agreed terms to sign a new and improved contract at Spurs (Tottenham Hotspur FC, 2 April).
The 18-year-old England youth international made his debut against Hoffenheim in the Europa League earlier this season, and has shown some excellent early promise.
It is understood, according to Football Insider, that Olusesi has turned down the advances of clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Juventus to remain in North London, believing he can soon merit far more first-team football.
Olusesi’s previous deal progressed only until 2026, making negotiations something of a priority as some of Europe’s elite circled the midfielder.

Olusesi can be successful next season after smart move
It’s a smart decision from Olusesi and his camp, in truth – he will get more opportunities at Tottenham next season than anywhere else.
It’s a mature mark of the young man, who has received his first taste of senior football and wants more, even despite the advances of trophy-laden clubs on the continent.
Olusesi first signed a scholarship in May 2023, and less than a year later went professional as Spurs tied him down to his maiden deal on his 17th birthday.

It demonstrates how much Tottenham want to keep their prized starlet that they are getting the work done quickly, something evidently appreciated by Olusesi and those close to him.
With players such as Mikey Moore, Will Lankshear and Ashley Phillips also coming through and gaining experience, Tottenham may not have a bright present but a better future lies ahead.
