Tottenham transfer round-up: Midfielder in talks over exit, Guehi bid latest

Tottenham are having a poor season and find themselves sitting 14th in the Premier League, well below expectations.

Ange Postecoglou has not been helped by a number of injuries in both his defence and attacking positions that have left the Lilywhites short of senior players to appear.

Therefore, with the transfer window closing at 11pm on Monday (3 February), the boss will be doing everything he can to get final faces through the doors to boost his side in the remainder of the season.

Here, Tottenham News rounds up all the latest Spurs transfer talk at lunchtime on Deadline Day.

Tottenham express interest in Chelsea striker

According to Matt Law (3 February), Spurs have expressed an interest in Joao Felix of Chelsea before the transfer deadline.

With Dominic Solanke out for a period through injury and Timo Werner having a disappointing campaign, it’s understandable that more attacking options are wanted at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Blues called off a transfer of the attacker to Aston Villa due to them being Champions League rivals. However, in their current state, this could cause the fellow London club to consider a move from Spurs.

Whether Felix or not, you would expect the boss to be working hard to bring in another striker before the deadline arrives.

Marc Guehi transfer off

Spurs did make a late bid for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi on 3 February as the Australian boss looks to strengthen his defensive options for the remainder of the campaign.

Although the Lilywhites made a statement with a £70million bid [Ed Aarons, 3 February], Palace are not open to striking a deal as they would not have time to replace the defender.

Therefore, TBR reported (3 February) that all parties have closed the door on a transfer move during the winter window and the North London outfit will have to set their sights elsewhere to find reinforcements.

Midfielder set for Tottenham exit

Although Postecoglou has had to rely on some of his younger members of the squad to step up due to injuries, one man who has not received that possibility is Tyrese Hall.

Therefore, it’s no surprise to hear that talks are being held over a potential exit for the 19-year-old, as per Sky Sports (3 February).

Talks are being held with Millwall over the possibility of a transfer with a loan deal on the table and an option to buy clause being considered.

In other Tottenham news, a new £10million Archie Gray agreement could be reached in an easy deal.
