Tottenham transfer round-up: Leon Bailey update shared, Chelsea deal resurrected
Tottenham will now have to move quickly to complete any transfers with just hours remaining until the 11pm transfer deadline.
Spurs have struggled with high-profile injuries throughout the season but have made just one signing in the shape of Antonin Kinsky so far this winter.
Ange Postecoglou will be hopeful that this can change before the window slams shut but has little time remaining to push any potential deals over the line.
With little time remaining until the window slams shut, Tottenham News rounds up all the latest transfer news from Monday, 3 February.
Axel Disasi deal back on with Chelsea
Despite initially falling through, a deal to sign Axel Disasi on loan from Chelsea for the rest of the season has been resurrected [Matt Law].
A bid to sign the France international could be back on the table in North London but could be impacted by the need for an agreement from the player himself.
The 26-year-old already agreed terms with Aston Villa earlier in the window but could join the Lilywhites as the clock ticks down.
Leon Bailey approach made at Aston Villa
An approach has been made to complete a late swoop for Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey before the window closes [Sky Sports].
Spurs are said to have “made checks” for the Jamaica international but Unai Emery’s side are unlikely to sanction an exit at this stage.
It appears that Postecoglou wants more attacking reinforcements at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but must now ramp up these efforts with a deal for the Villa winger Bailey seemingly off the cards.
Tottenham urged to pay ‘over the top’ fee for Marc Guehi
Tim Sherwood has urged the N17 club to increase their bid for Marc Geuhi after an initial £70million offer was turned down by Crystal Palace [Ed Aarons].
Speaking live on Sky Sports (3 February, 13:26 pm), the ex-Lilywhites boss said: “I think he will be one of the best centre-backs they can get.
“If he is available, if you can pay over the top if you can try and make Palace do business, which it is going to be very difficult to do at this stage.”

With very limited time remaining of the window, it will be interesting to see if a deal can be pushed over the line with the Eagles.
Ange Postecoglou works to convince Mathys Tel of Tottenham move
Mathys Tel appears to be the closest deal to completion in North London after jetting into the UK earlier on deadline day.
This comes just days after appearing to reject an approach from the Lilywhites but it seems that the Australian head coach has had a telling impact on the deal.
Postecoglou is said to be holding lengthy discussions with the 19-year-old who has played a “key role” in bringing the Frenchman in from Bayern Munich on loan [Julien Laurens].
In other Tottenham news, Jamie Carragher has reacted to the latest transfer news after an “incredible” development.
