Tottenham ‘to ready £25m offer’ for Daizen Maeda transfer from Celtic
Tottenham must reinforce their squad after an underwhelming season, and Celtic forward Daizen Maeda is on their transfer radar.
Spurs are 16th in the Premier League, having won just 11 games in the top flight, highlighting the lack of quality in their squad.
Daniel Levy’s decision to sack Ange Postecoglou also seems inevitable as the North London outfit lost 5-1 to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday (27 April).
While the Australian manager will likely suffer the consequences at the Lilywhites, the players need to take some responsibility, and fresh faces should come through the door this summer.

Maeda has been watched by Tottenham as Celtic may want £25m
Spurs have watched Maeda, who’s having a brilliant season at Celtic, according to TBR Football.
The news outlet reports (1 May) that the North London outfit are among the top teams interested in the Japan international, who’s been nominated for the PFA Scotland Player of the Year award.

It’s been claimed that the Hoops may accept an offer of around £25million for the 27-year-old in the upcoming transfer window, which Levy will seemingly need to be ready to pay if he wants to sign the forward.
Liverpool and Arsenal are also in the race for the left winger, and it’ll be interesting to see whether the Lilywhites will be able to beat them.

Levy to sanction Spurs transfer revamp next summer
Levy needs to decide on who the next Spurs manager will be if and when Postecoglou is relieved of his duties.
The former Celtic boss has failed to make progress on his work at the North London outfit this season, and while injuries haven’t helped his cause, the Australian head coach has been stubborn with his style of play.
Even with the return of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, the Lilywhites have looked defensively fragile, highlighting the 59-year-old manager’s frailties.
Tottenham must sell Son Heung-min and other forwards who’ve been unable to contribute much in the current campaign and bolster most areas of their pitch.
The North London outfit have struggled to score goals, with Dominic Solanke and Richarlison unreliable, and Maeda may be the signing needed to add depth up top.
In the middle of the park, Yves Bissouma has failed to show consistency, and next summer would arguably be the right time to move on from the former Brighton ace.
Spurs should also completely restructure their defence, with Romero’s future likely elsewhere, and Van de Ven’s fitness issues frustrating.
What the future holds for the Lilywhites in N17 remains to be seen.
