Tottenham talks advance for striker exit, offer on the table
Tottenham have accelerated exit talks for one striker since the summer transfer window opened.
It looks set to be a summer of change in North London after Ange Postecoglou was sacked by Tottenham.
Several players could follow the 59-year-old out the exit door in North London, with one striker already on the verge of sealing a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham have a loan offer from Rosario for Alejo Veliz
Veliz has spent the majority of his Tottenham career out on loan. After joining the North London outfit in the summer of 2023, the striker was sent to Sevilla midway through his debut season before spending last season on loan with Espanyol.
However, the 21-year-old struggled to make an impact at both clubs, scoring just four goals for Espanyol last season, with three of those coming in one game against lower-league opposition.
All Competitions 2024/25 | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Minutes |
Alejo Veliz | 29 | 4 | – | 1.303′ |
As a result, it looks as though Veliz’s time with Tottenham could be coming to an end, with Rosario keen to re-sign the Argentinian.
As reported by Uriel Iugt (6 June), Rosario are advancing in their pursuit of Veliz, and have already made a formal loan offer to Tottenham.
While the transfer is not expected to be easy, there is optimism a deal can be agreed.
Tottenham should consider adding a striker this summer
Dominic Solanke has been solid for Tottenham this season, but Richarlison has been inconsistent once again.
The Brazilian has suffered several injuries since he was signed from Everton in July 2022, and this year was no different. Tottenham have already been linked with numerous strikers this summer, including Viktor Gyokeres, after a stellar season with Sporting.
However, with the striker market at an all-time low, Tottenham will need to start making movements. Now that Postecoglou has been sacked, the Lilywhites need to get a new manager in place and start preparing for next season.
