Tottenham ready for exodus as senior trio told to leave Hotspur Way for good

Tottenham have plenty to iron out ahead of the summer transfer window opening on Sunday.

The future of Ange Postecoglou at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is still in doubt, despite him lifting the Europa League trophy this term.

Finishing 17th in the Premier League, though, was not good enough and Daniel Levy needs the right man in place to improve the side.

With the pressure of Champions League football to juggle next season too, the Lilywhites know that they need to get their business spot on.

Manor Solomon to leave Tottenham

Although Spurs got their hands on a trophy, there is plenty of improvement that is needed in the squad over the summer.

Whoever is at the helm will be prepared to put their mark on the squad, which will be especially necessary with the likes of Cristian Romero linked with a move away.

Before new faces are brought in, the Lilywhites have internal matters to sort out, one of which is Manor Solomon.

The winger spent the season on loan with Leeds United, where he scored the goal that made them champions of the second tier.

Solomon had a solid loan spell with Leeds.

As he returns to north London, though, his efforts in the Championship have not done enough to convince those higher up at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium that he has a future as a Lilywhite.

According to ESPN (28 May), after the expiry of his loan spell, he “must find” a new club during the summer.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Bryan Gill have also been subjected to the same fate.

Solomon set for transfer to Leeds

Thankfully for Tottenham, offloading Solomon this summer is set to be an easy task, with Leeds keen on regaining their loanee.

The Lilywhites are set to get a decent fee for the 25-year-old, with Leeds prepared to pay to regain the services of someone who was a Championship star this season.

Solomon may well show Tottenham that he does have what it takes to be a Premier League player upon a move to Elland Road, but with the increased demands next season will bring, Spurs need to be looking at more experienced additions instead.

It could be worth holding off on making any agreements just yet, though, until the managerial situation has been clarified.
