Tottenham ponder ‘blockbuster’ Son Heung-min sale as transfer groundwork done

If the Australian is to remain in his role in N17, it looks destined to be a summer of change with Son potentially on his way out.
Tottenham could cash in on Son
There is no doubt that the 32-year-old has been far from his usual best this campaign and has shown little sign of improvement.
His output of seven goals and nine assists in the Premier League may sound positive but is far from his usual standards from years gone by.
Alongside Harry Kane for Spurs, the winger was electric and flew down the flank in tandem with the England international.

Just two years after the striker’s departure, GIVE ME SPORT has reported (23 March) that Son could be set to follow him out the doors.
The Lilywhites have “big decisions ahead” on whether to cash in on the South Korean as the summer transfer window awaits.
This could open up funds for new signings like Angel Gomes, Johnny Cardoso or Tyler Dibling with “groundwork” already done on multiple deals.
Son sale makes sense at Tottenham
Unfortunately for Son, a sale does appear to make sense on Hotspur Way.
If the Lilywhites can bring in a positive fee for the forward, it could allow for multiple new signings to come in during the summer.
Although Daniel Levy has been reluctant to spend in recent years, he may have no choice after such a poor season this time around.
If the former Bayer Leverkusen man is to move on and multiple top signings are to come in, there is every chance that the squad is improved under Postecoglou.
It will certainly be interesting to see who comes in, if the Spurs skipper does depart and whether the head coach can make the best of the funds.
