Froholdt was tracked by several Premier League scouts last year, whose advances were rejected by FC Copenhagen.
The 19-year-old has since become a key player for the Danish team as they enter the final stages of the Superliga Championship play-offs.

While Postecoglou’s high-risk, high-reward football does not help, if the manager is set to stay at Spurs next season, squad depth will be key.
Despite primarily playing as a central midfielder, Froholdt can play as a defensive midfielder, right midfielder and on either wing.
This level of versatility is rare to come by in football, and would be crucial for a Spurs side that always seems to be missing a specific profile.
In a Tottenham side whose future belongs to their youth, Froholdt would make a fine addition indeed.
