Tottenham hot on heels of £25m Rangers ace, ‘big’ reveal emerges

Tottenham are “big admirers” of Rangers striker Hamza Igamane, according to TEAMtalk.

The news outlet reported via their website that the North London giants have scouted the Moroccan on multiple occasions.

However, Spurs would need to shell out over £25million to sign the 22-year-old as Rangers are not prepared to sell him during the ongoing winter transfer window.

Tottenham to wait until summer to sign Rangers?

Ange Postecoglou’s side are currently facing an injury crisis that has affected them across all positions, including goalkeepers, on the field.

In attack, the Greek-Australian manager is without Dominic Solanke, Brennan Johnson, Richarlison, Timo Werner and Wilson Odobert.

Therefore, it is easy to see why Spurs are looking at potentially signing a new attacker before the transfer window slams shut on Monday, 3 February.

However, having made only one signing – Antonin Kinsky – so far despite the injury situation, it appears Tottenham are not desperate to strengthen their ranks for the second half of the season.

Furthermore, with Werner and Johnson returning in February, and Solanke expected to be fit in early March [Premier Injuries], they may not be too bothered with bolstering their options in attack.

Therefore, the Premier League club may wait until the summer to pursue their interest in Igamane.

Rangers could also be more receptive to the idea of cashing in on the striker, who they signed from FAR Rabat last summer, then.
