Tottenham agree another defender signing, player has made his decision – Romano
Tottenham have agreed a loan deal with Chelsea to secure the services of Axel Disasi, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The journalist reported via X (2 February) that a deal has been struck between the two London clubs with a loan fee included and no buy option clause.
However, Disasi is not accepting the bid from Tottenham due to the fact he already agreed terms for a deal with Aston Villa, Romano has said.
His parent club are not willing to sanction the deal with Unai Emery’s side, though, given they are rivals for a Champions League finish this term.
Tottenham agree Axel Disasi deal, need the player on board
It may have been a bit slow at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium throughout the transfer window so far but Spurs are stepping up now and adding the necessary players to their squad.
Ange Postecoglou knows he needs reinforcements in his side if he is going to improve his form going forward and save his job in North London.
Therefore, agreeing a deal for the defender having already added Kevin Danso to their ranks is certainly a sign of intent from the club that things are set to improve.

However, it does seem like the player himself is unhappy with the potential move given he had already agreed a deal elsewhere that he was happy with and that could be a concern to Spurs.
The manager needs a squad of players who are happy to be at Tottenham and willing to fight for their improvement and whether a player who doesn’t want the deal would do so is questionable.
One thing’s for sure, the Lilywhites will not be happy that they are no longer the team that are rivaling Chelsea for a top-four finish and whoever they get, they need to be able to put Spurs back on track to the right end of the table.
In other Tottenham news, Spurs have been urged to recall a loan star after an “unbelievable” Postecoglou jibe.
