Pedro Porro's transfer value skyrockets thanks to Tottenham 'masterstroke'
Tottenham deserve immense credit for their faith in Pedro Porro.
That is the view of Spurs expert John Wenham, speaking after the Spaniard won the World Cup.
The 26-year-old started six of his nation's eight matches at the tournament, putting in a brilliant account of himself.
Roberto De Zerbi has relied on the former Sporting man, handing him a start in all seven games in charge.
Now, a call that the Lilywhites made before the tournament started is looking an excellent one.

Tottenham ended any speculation over his future by handing him a new contract before the competition began.
Wenham loves the North London club's decision-making, as the player's value has increased hugely after his exploits.
Speaking to Tottenham News, he said: "I think Tottenham have played a masterstroke by getting him to sign that new contract until 2031 before the tournament started or within the first week of the tournament.
"His value has massively gone up on the back of this tournament, he's now Spain's starting right back, of a team that are the World Cup winners and he's progressed throughout the tournament.
"Going into the tournament he was handed the number 12 shirt, he was seen as a back-up right back but he has really established himself as Spain's first choice right back.
"He scored that fantastic goal against France in the semi-final, and his market value will have gone up exponentially on the back of his form in this tournament.
"From Tottenham's point of view they've got even more leadership in there now, yet more winning mentality in him and is rightfully in the team at the tournament."
Why Porro could be Tottenham's new captain
Porro could be a contender for the captain's armband in N17, if Cristian Romero departs.
Wenham has previously named Sandro Tonali and Jan Paul van Hecke as his preferred choices for that role, but the 24-cap international has to be in the running.
De Zerbi clearly believes in his ability, and he would bring the winning mentality, that Wenham highlighted, to the squad.
