Matheus Cunha transfer: Bargain clause emerges for Tottenham signing
Tottenham transfer target Matheus Cunha has a £45million release clause in his new Wolves contract, according to Give Me Sport.
The news outlet reports (11 January) that the Brazilian forward would be available for the cut-price fee if Vitor Pereira’s team are relegated from the Premier League.
While the 25-year-old recently renewed his deal, Spurs and several other teams are monitoring his situation at the Wolverhampton outfit.
Tottenham could pull off sensational Matheus Cunha transfer
The North London club could pull off a sensational transfer if they were able to get Cunha for a cheap price.
In the current campaign, the 25-year-old has scored 10 goals and provided four assists in the English top flight for Wolves.
Pereira’s team are around the relegation zone, though, level on points with 18th-place Ipswich Town in the league table.
Tottenham could seemingly pounce on Cunha as it looks highly likely that Wolves could go down to the Championship.
The North London faithful weren’t able to see the Brazilian attacker to his full extent as he was substituted at the break in the 2-2 draw on 29 December.

Ange Postecoglou has Dominic Solanke and Richarlison as their number nine options, with Son Heung-min, Brennan Johson and Dejan Kulusevski as his other prominent attacking options.
Spurs have struggled to find the back of the net consistently this season and could use a forward like Cunha in their ranks.
While the 25-year-old would unarguably be a brilliant addition for the Lilywhites, it remains to be seen whether Wolves can survive this season.
