Manchester United to ‘sell Bruno Fernandes’ after Tottenham developments
Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United will do battle in the Europa League final in a bid to salvage their respective seasons.
Calling a favourite for the contest is the equivalent of flipping a coin, with both sides enduring torrid seasons in the Premier League.
United are without a win against Spurs in their last six, and Ange Postecoglou’s side could effectively end Bruno Fernandes’ stay at Old Trafford.

Europa League final could end Fernandes’ United career
The Europa League final has substantial ramifications for both sides, with Champions League football the dangling carrot.
Neither side will feel they deserve that prospect after both teams have produced their worst league showings in decades, but they will take it with open arms.
Position | Club | Points |
16th | Manchester United | 39 |
17th | Tottenham Hotspur | 38 |
18th | Ipswich Town | 22 |
19th | Leicester City | 22 |
20th | Southampton | 12 |
Champions League football means glory, money, and possibly, even stability, for whoever clinches it.
Failure would mean that big players would likely depart from either side, and this is particularly the case for United’s captain Fernandes.
Speaking via the Daily Mirror, former Liverpool left-back Stephen Warnock warned that the Portuguese international could be off if they fail to win the Europa League.
He said: “No transfer is off limits for Manchester United, especially if they lose the Europa League final. That includes Bruno Fernandes – they will need funds, and they may see him as the lifeline to reinvest in the squad.
“I know there have been links to the Saudi Pro League, I’d hope he’s more ambitious than that. The money he’ll be on at United will be more than sufficient, but you just never know in football. United’s hand may be forced by financial constraints.”
With links to Real Madrid and Saudi Arabia, the match with Tottenham bears heavy weight in terms of Fernandes’ future.

Europa League defeat could trigger mass Tottenham clear-out
Regardless of whether he leads his side to European glory, Postecoglou looks set to leave Tottenham.
The Australian stated that he always wins a trophy in his second season and could be about to fulfil his bold claim.
However, he is not the only person at risk of leaving North London, with several players primed for the exit door.
Christian Romero has been vocal about his desire to play in Spain amid interest from Atletico Madrid.
Another player who could be on his way out is Destiny Udogie, who has been linked with a sensational move to Manchester City.
With so much riding on one game, the result looks set to impact the futures of two of England’s biggest sides.
