‘Levy ready to seal Rashford transfer at Tottenham’ after £40m development
Tottenham could look to Marcus Rashford to solve their problems in the attacking third.
Rashford was cast aside by Ruben Amorim at Manchester United and elected to join Aston Villa on loan for the second half of last season to resurrect his career.
When he is on form, the England forward is one of the best players in the Premier League, scoring 89 goals and recording 52 assists since his debut in February 2016.
With his career now at a crossroads, Spurs could look to take advantage and bring him to North London following a recent development.

The Red Devils are equally keen to part ways with their academy product, and could even offer to subsidise Tottenham for part of the forward’s wages should that be a sticking point [Telegraph].
Aston Villa were offered first refusal to sign Rashford permanently following his loan spell, but released an official statement on Monday (30 June) confirming they would not take up that option.
Fabrizio Romano followed up, later posting on X (30 June) that Rashford was now available to any club for the same fee offered to the Villans at £40million.
All these recent updates will resonate with Daniel Levy, who could now be ready to bring Rashford to Tottenham and avoid spending a much higher fee on Mohammed Kudus.
The 63-year-old will trust that Thomas Frank can rekindle the talented goalscorer’s best form and see him rise to become a superstar in Tottenham’s colours.
Spurs are not stable enough to take Rashford gamble
Tottenham are in a precarious position this summer with many moving parts and must make near-perfect decisions to provide a much-needed platform for stability.
The Lilywhites have made changes from top to bottom in the space of a few short weeks, and there are still plenty of unanswered questions surrounding the futures of a handful of players.
Any decisions Spurs make now regarding signings must be on the mark, which Rashford can not guarantee despite the forward’s extremely high ceiling being a temptation for any ambitious club.
His last two years in particular have not seen the 27-year-old reach those heights, and Spurs are not in a stable enough position to take that gamble at this point.
