Leroy Sane offered improved terms amid Tottenham links
Tottenham are facing a tussle for Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane, with old foes Arsenal also interested in the winger.
Both Tottenham and Arsenal are preparing to compete in the UEFA Champions League next season and will want to add quality to their respective squads.
Sane could be on his way out of the Allianz Arena this summer, with the 29-year-old’s contract set to expire at the end of June.
As the German’s future remains uncertain, there have been interesting developments which will prick ears in North London.

Bayern Munich make fresh offer to Sane
As reported by Christian Falk via CF Bayern (30 May), Spurs hold a “concrete” interest in Sane, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea.
Interest in the German is unsurprising, given his immense experience and the fact that he will be available for free.
Leroy Sane’s 2024/25 Bundesliga statistics | Total |
Appearances (starts) | 30 (17) |
Goals | 11 |
Expected goals (xG) | 10.23 |
Assists | 5 |
Touches | 42.4 |
Accurate passes | 24.4 (86%) |
Arsenal have long been linked with signing another winger to add competition for Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard, and Gabriel Martinelli.
However, Tottenham arguably need Sane more amid Son Heung-min’s decline at the North London club. Both, though, could be dealt a significant blow in their pursuit of the winger after the latest news from Florian Plettenberg.
The Sky Sports Germany reporter shared via X on Saturday (31 May) that Sane has been offered improved terms to remain at Bayern Munich after talks between the Bundesliga champions and Sane’s agent, Pini Zahavi.
Discussions are believed to have gone well after the winger rejected the German champions’ initial offer. The Bayern hierarchy are eager to extend Sane’s contract, with a decision imminent.
Sane would be upgrade on Tottenham wingers
Tottenham do possess quality on the wings, with Son, Brennan Johnson, and Wilson Odobert as options.
However, they will need to improve that area of the pitch if they are to compete on all fronts next season.
Look no further than Sane, who has a wealth of honours, including two Premier Leagues, one FA Cup, and four German titles.
At 29, Sane still has something to offer and may be up for a fresh challenge after five successful years in Germany. Although the latest news will dent Spurs’ hopes of landing him, it does not spell the end of their pursuit.
