Kyogo Furuhashi transfer: Tottenham make decision as new offer made

Tottenham were given an opportunity to make an offer for Celtic forward Kyogo Furuhashi in the winter transfer window, according to TBR Football.

The news outlet reports (26 January) that Spurs rejected the opportunity to sign the Japanese centre-forward as they look to bolster their attack before 3 February.

Furuhashi was offered to the North London outfit, but they decided not to pursue a deal for him in the winter window.

Tottenham have been given the chance to sign several forwards in recent weeks but are yet to make a concrete offer.

Kyogo Furuhashi should be on Tottenham transfer radar

Spurs will be without Dominic Solanke for a few weeks after he picked up an injury, With Richarlison starting up front in recent matches.

The Brazil international has been on the sidelines for most of the season himself, and his consistent fitness issues will be a concern for the fans.

Tottenham have been in poor form in the Premier League, and the importance of a prolific goalscorer can’t be understated at this moment.

Furuhashi starred for Ange Postecoglou during their time together at Celtic, and the Lilywhites should arguably reconsider their stance on him.

While the 30-year-old’s numbers in recent seasons haven’t been the best, he thrived under the Australian manager at Parkhead.

The centre-forward mostly plays in the number nine position but can be deployed on the wings as well.

With just a few days left until the end of the winter transfer window, Daniel Levy arguably can’t wait any longer to add reinforcements.
