Jarrod Bowen transfer bombshell as Tottenham ready to beat Newcastle to deal

Tottenham need to have a transformational summer to prepare for what must be a more successful season in 2025/26.

Ange Postecoglou’s men sit 16th in the Premier League table, having had an incredibly underwhelming campaign.

Suggestions are now swirling that the manager could be sacked regardless of whether he leads Spurs to Europa League victory, showing just how concerned Daniel Levy is.

With that in mind, the summer transfer window is going to be crucial for the Lilywhites as they set out their ambitions for the long-term future.

Tottenham ready Jarrod Bowen transfer

Supporters have been vocal in their criticism of Levy for some time now, and given how poorly his side has performed this season, the pressure to perform next term is on.

Levy has to be prepared to back Postecoglou, or whoever is at the helm, financially, with the squad needing serious improvement in terms of ability and mindset.

According to Claret & Hugh (23 April), one man on the radar in north London is Jarrod Bowen, after “bombshell” interest from Spurs.

Bowen has had another excellent season for West Ham, despite struggling with injury in a side that is in a bad position.

For some time now, the attacker has been loyal to his current side, although with the Hammers sitting one position below Spurs, he could be starting to think that it’s time for a fresh challenge.

If Spurs want to sign Bowen, they are going to have to battle with Newcastle United to strike a deal.

Bowen would be a great signing for Tottenham

Tottenham need to improve their squad in terms of talent, but the right characters are needed too, which has been shown over the last season.

There is no doubt that Bowen is someone who can persist through the tough times, as he has had to put up with enough of that at the London Stadium of late.

However, given the position Tottenham currently find themselves in, it does pose the question of why the 28-year-old would be leaving his current side for the team sitting just one point above them in the Premier League.

In addition to this, if Newcastle are serious about going for Bowen too, they are going to be a much more attractive prospect at this time.

This surely has to highlight to Levy how crucial the Europa League is and also how important it is to have the right people in place ahead of the new campaign.

Whether or not this is for Postecoglou or one for Levy to decide on, but when a West Ham man is seen as an ambitious target, it has to be concerning for those at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
