Udogie speaks out after £60m+ Tottenham to Man City transfer news
Tottenham have three more games to navigate before they can fully turn focus towards the summer transfer window.
Either side of what are effectively dead-rubber Premier League games with Aston Villa and Brighton and Hove Albion comes the Europa League final against Manchester United.
That all-English affair with United in Bilbao on Wednesday (21 May) will define Tottenham’s campaign one way or another.
Ange Postecoglou remains under intense pressure, but victory over United could yet see him retain his job.
Whoever is in charge beyond next week will know that a major summer of transfer activity is required, which means keeping hold of key players as well as bringing more new faces in.

Spurs to demand massive fee for Udogie
Destiny Udogie is one of those to have been linked with a move away from Tottenham in recent weeks, with Manchester City said to hold an interest.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano last Saturday (10 April), City have added Udogie to their shortlist of transfer targets ahead of the summer window.
Tottenham 2024/25 | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Destiny Udogie | 34 | 0 | 1 |
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham reckons a fee in excess of £60million will be demanded for Udogie.
And the full-back has now been asked specifically about those links with Pep Guardiola‘s side, to which he did not give a great deal away.
As per Hayters TV (13 May), asked if it’s nice to be linked with City, Udogie said: “No. I think personally it’s been a tough season, with injuries, and everything, including my form.
“But at the same time, I’m trying to finish the season strong, I’m trying to help my team – that’s it.”
Tottenham need to keep Udogie
While Udogie has not had the best of seasons – who has at Tottenham? – he is still a key member of the side.
With age on his side, Udogie is clearly a player who will only get better with time.
The fact that Guardiola is reportedly interested says a lot, and Tottenham should therefore knock back any offers this summer.
Only by keeping the core squad and adding to it will Spurs enjoy a much-improved Premier League campaign next time around.
