Tottenham want star ‘like Cole Palmer’ as sources reveal £50m transfer news
Tottenham are already laying the groundwork to strengthen their squad in the summer with a player likened to Cole Palmer firmly on their radar.
Spurs had a busy winter transfer window as they added three new players to their ranks, alongside pre-arranged signing Yang Min-hyeok.
Antonin Kinsky, Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso moved to North London on various deals, with Ange Postecoglou facing a major injury crisis in his squad.
With the first half of the 2024-25 season exposing Tottenham’s frailties, Daniel Levy is seemingly already making moves behind the scenes to strengthen the squad in the summer.
Tottenham remain interested in Tyler Dibling
Another player Tottenham tried to sign in the winter transfer window was Tyler Dibling, but they failed to agree a deal with Southampton in time.
However, the North London giants retain a strong interest in the 19-year-old ahead of the summer, according to TBR Football.
The news outlet reported via their website on 17 February that Spurs are tipped to return to the negotiating table for Dibling in the summer, but are expected to face competition from other clubs.
Aston Villa, Chelsea, Manchester United, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest are the other Premier League teams in the mix for the attacker, while Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also monitoring him.
As for Dibling, he has made it clear to Southampton that he does not intend to sign a new contract at St. Mary’s amid interest from several clubs.
The Saints are, therefore, prepared to sell the Englishman, as per TBR Football sources, although they would want £50million for him.
Tyler Dibling compared to Cole Palmer
Dibling has been earning rave reviews since breaking onto the scene at Southampton, where he has bagged four goals and two assists in 31 games across all competitions.

Dion Dublin notably drew parallels between Dibling and Chelsea star Palmer, thus adding to the 19-year-old’s hype.
“Do you know what it is? I don’t want to put any pressure on him, but he plays his game like Cole Palmer, doesn’t he?”, Dublin said on BBC Match of the Day in November.
“He plays free and easy, and he gets himself into good positions, rolls players and takes the ball well.”
It now remains to be seen if Tottenham will meet Southampton’s requests to sign Dibling ahead of next season.
Having tried signing the teenager in the winter, Spurs will hope that they have an advantage over other clubs in the race to sign him.
