Tottenham triple exit on the cards amid Ashley Phillips update
Tottenham still have plenty of players to move on before the end of the summer transfer window, with Ashley Phillips one of those linked with an exit.
Tottenham signed Phillips from Blackburn Rovers in 2023, and the defender has gone on to have excellent back-to-back loans at Plymouth Argyle and Stoke City.
His most recent loan spell at Stoke has increased expectations among Spurs supporters. The defender is considered a promising young talent, and fans are waiting for him to reach new heights in North London.
However, there is no guarantee that Phillips will remain at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham to send Phillips and two more young talents on loan
Tottenham fans watched their team back in action in a 2-0 pre-season victory against Reading on Saturday (19 July).
While the first half at the Select Car Leasing Stadium was a bore, the second was filled with end-to-end excitement. Among the standouts were new signings Mohammed Kudus and Luka Vuskovic, with the latter bagging a goal and an assist.

However, Phillips, along with George Abbott and Yang Min-hyeok, were three of four players who remained on the bench.
There has been speculation that Thomas Frank’s choices during the confrontation would indicate his plans for next season.
As reported by Football London on Sunday (20 July), the plan for Abbott next season was always another loan spell to continue his development. Meanwhile, exits are also likely for Phillips and Yang at some stage this summer.
This could come as a disappointment for Phillips in particular. However, given Spurs’ defensive depth, a loan move could be the best chance of them gracing the pitch next season.

Tottenham still need to finalise several outgoings
Tottenham have several players who are either nearing the end of their contracts or have been linked with a departure.
Indeed, Frank has a squad of around 30-35 players at his disposal. While depth is important for financial and sporting reasons, Spurs need to shed some of the weight.
The last thing the club will want is to prevent a player’s development because he is not seeing adequate game time. As a result, before any more incomings, Tottenham should focus on outgoings this summer.
