Tottenham transfer experts on mission to sign Isidor after Sunderland developments

Tottenham may have found a solution to their attacking issues after interest in Sunderland star Wilson Isidor emerged.

Ange Postecoglou is under severe pressure at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after a run of just three wins in 13 Premier League matches.

The former Celtic man has been dealt a cruel hand with Son Heung-Min out of form and Dominic Solanke and Richarlison persistently suffering from injuries but Daniel Levy completed a deal for Mathys Tel on deadline day.

Whether the Australian is still in his job in the summer remains to be seen but Spurs are expected to be in the market for a forward regardless.

Tottenham eyeing swoop for Sunderland star Wilson Isidor

Tottenham have been linked with a summer move for Sunderland star Wilson Isidor, who has notched 12 goals in 30 Championship matches.

A report from Chronicle Live (19 February) claims that Spurs scouts were monitoring the French striker who scored during the 2-1 loss at Elland Road on Monday (17 February).

The outlet states that the Lilywhites face competition from Leeds and Crystal Palace for the 24-year-old’s signature.

Wilson Isidor can take Tottenham to the next level

If Postecoglou is still in the dugout by the time the new season rolls around, the Sunderland man could be a valuable addition to his forward line in the summer transfer window.

The former Zenit ace has proved that he is a natural goalscorer and without his strikes, the Black Cats would not be in the mix for Championship promotion.

His goal against Leeds was a brilliant example of his ability as he rolled Ethan Ampadu, who is one of the best players in the second tier, and slotted past Illan Meslier with a clever finish.

It seems like a matter of time before he makes the step up to the Premier League after his exploits at the Stadium of Light despite being under contract until 2028 with the North East outfit.

If Spurs scouts were in attendance as reported, they will have witnessed the Frenchman’s remarkable talent up close and personal and will know that he can provide competition for Dominic Solanke.

Tottenham can steal a march on their rivals by securing Isidor’s services before more clubs enter the race and he becomes unattainable.
