Tottenham star Richarlison sends message as transfer deal agreed

Richarlison’s future at Tottenham has been a talking point for several months now as Thomas Frank considers his options up front.

Dominic Solanke has been out injured for the majority of the campaign, meaning the burden has fallen on the likes of Richarlison to pick up the goalscoring load.

While the Brazilian striker has already found the back of the net six times in the Premier League this season, he has failed to produce in big moments for Spurs, who are still lacking a real number nine.

Richarlison has been heavily linked with a Tottenham exit ahead of the January transfer window and his time in North London could be coming to an end.

Richarlison responds as former Tottenham player joins new club

Sergio Reguilon was released by Tottenham in the summer, bringing his five-year spell at the Lilywhites to an end.

The full-back really only played two seasons for Spurs, spending the rest of the time out on loan at Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, and Brentford, respectively.

Reguilon has been searching for a permanent home since his North London exit at the end of last season, and Inter Miami have now confirmed that they have signed the defender.

In a post on Instagram, Inter Miami shared a photo of the ex-Tottenham man in his new colours, with the caption: “A new chapter begins.”

Richarlison commented with a clapping hands emoji to show support for his former teammate.

Reguilon will link up with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, as well as the likes of Luis Suarez and Rodrigo de Paul.

Richarlison could follow Sergio Reguilon to MLS

Richarlison himself has been linked with a move to the MLS in recent times, with Orlando City reportedly interested in the Brazilian.

However, it remains to be seen whether the 28-year-old would be willing to make the switch to America at this stage in his career.

If Tottenham are to progress in the coming months, then replacing Richarlison with a better option is a necessity, but that is easier said than done.

The January transfer window is notoriously difficult in terms of recruitment, and there is no guarantee that Spurs can find a more complete centre-forward.

Instead, Tottenham may be forced to stick with Richarlison until the end of the season and reassess their centre-forward options next summer.
