Ansu Fati transfer bombshell: Tottenham update emerges on Barcelona gem
Tottenham are one of two Premier League clubs to have shown an interest in signing Barcelona’s Ansu Fati, according to Diario Sport.
The Spanish news outlet reported via its website [16 January] that Fati is of interest to Spurs, who could still lose Son Heung-min despite him having only recently extended his stay.
Spurs are enduring a wretched season and the need for winter reinforcements is growing in importance with it claimed that Fati would present the opportunity to lessen their attacking concerns, with West Ham also keen.
Jorge Mendez, Fati’s agent, previously claimed that “he will be a Ballon d’Or winner one day.” [BarcaBlaugranes].
Tottenham to make a move for Ansu Fati?
Fati, should he join Spurs, would be entering the Premier League for the second time in his career having previously spent time on loan at Brighton.
He was tipped to be the next big thing in football but his career to date just hasn’t gone to plan, and his game time at Barcelona is becoming increasingly limited.

With the uncertainty over the future of Son, Fati may be seen as a long-term replacement for the winger.
Tottenham will undoubtedly be looking to improve their attacking firepower in the coming weeks and Fati could be a shrewd option.
