Tottenham set sights on Real Madrid wonderkid Franco Mastantuono as bid prepared already
Tottenham could move to sign Franco Mastantuono from Real Madrid in the summer.
Spanish outlet El Nacional reported on Sunday that Bernabeu president Florentino Perez has already run out of patience with the 18-year-old.
Los Blancos could look to cash in on the Argentine already, just 12 months after his exciting £38.5million move to LaLiga.
Tottenham have emerged as an interested party, with the Lilywhites reportedly willing to pay around £44m for the versatile attacker.
Brighton have also shown interest, with both sides believing they could get the best out of Mastantuono away from the pressure of the 15-time Champions League winners.
Who is Real Madrid wonderkid Franco Mastantuono?
Mastantuono is a teenage sensation who has made massive strides in men’s football at the age of just 18.
Before his big-money move to Real Madrid, the 2007-born ace had already made 64 appearances for River Plate across all competitions.
He only made his debut for their academy side in 2019, but made a dramatic rise into the first team under Martin Demichelis.
In two seasons with River, he contributed to 17 goals, which was enough to tempt the Spanish giants to secure his signature last summer.

Mastantuono has gone on to feature 24 times for Los Blancos, becoming the youngest player in their history to start a Champions League match.
He has netted three times in the Spanish capital, but in recent weeks his minutes have been increasingly limited, pointing towards a potential summer exit.
Tottenham could sign Mastantuono for £44m
The Lilywhites have had far from the best recruitment strategy in recent years, with plenty of signings going wrong.
The summer of 2024 under Ange Postecoglou is just proof of that, with all four of Dominic Solanke, Archie Gray, Wilson Odobert and Lucas Bergvall failing to truly move the needle so far.

They have all had their moments and have the potential to be excellent, but have certainly contributed to the fall-off in recent months.
That could be a similar scenario if Mastantuono, although he could add some much-needed excitement at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Argentine is something special, but at £44m may represent a risk that isn’t worth taking in such a precarious position right now.
