Tottenham ‘set for further heartbreak’ after Arsenal and Eberechi Eze talks
Tottenham look set for yet another setback in an already difficult summer transfer window.
Daniel Levy has already seen several targets slip through Spurs’ fingers this summer.
The Lilywhites had been linked with moves for the likes of Johnny Cardoso and Angel Gomes. However, both of these midfielders opted to join different clubs instead.
Therefore, transfer heartbreak will be an emotion well-known to Spurs supporters, but they will hope this isn’t a feeling they experience yet again after a brand-new Eberechi Eze development.

Tottenham ‘at risk’ of missing out on Eze to Arsenal
As well as Eze, Spurs have been linked with a move for Bryan Mbeumo, and the Lilywhites ramped up their efforts to sign the forward after the arrival of Frank.
However, despite the promise of UEFA Champions League football and a reunion with his former boss at Brentford, Mbeumo still has his heart set on a move to Old Trafford, which is now edging closer.
And if that was not humiliating enough for Levy, Spurs now face competition for Eze from Arsenal.

The Gunners have held talks with Eze [The Mirror], and the Crystal Palace playmaker’s £68million release clause means he will be able to decide his next club, provided both Spurs and Arsenal activate the clause.
And in a report in The Mirror on Friday (27 June), Tottenham have been predicted to lose out, with Scott Trotter writing, “Someone will be left unhappy come the end of the summer. For the moment, Spurs are most at risk.”

Tottenham could still sign Eze
Arsenal have been much more competitive in recent seasons and could offer Eze a more stable project under Mikel Arteta, which could appeal to the 26-year-old.
However, there may still be one advantage for Spurs in the race for the Crystal Palace midfielder.
It has been widely reported that Arsenal are interested in Real Madrid’s Rodrygo. The forward is admired by Arteta and is struggling to start over Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior.
With Rodrygo likely to cost a pretty penny, the Gunners could abandon their pursuit of Eze if given the green light for the Brazilian. As a result, Tottenham may still be able to win this race.
