Tottenham ready Noni Madueke transfer as Chelsea open exit door

Tottenham are currently focusing on potential summer transfers in a bid to get back on track after their dismal season so far.

Ange Postecoglou is under serious pressure of the sack, with Spurs destined for the bottom half of the Premier League.

Spurs currently sit 14th in the table, but another poor week could see them drop down to 16th, given that they are level on points with Everton and West Ham below.

It is an alarming situation for the London club, with Paul Gascoigne now calling on Spurs to “buy the best” players available to turn things around.

Tottenham ready for Chelsea transfer raid

Buying the best in class is something that Daniel Levy appears to be willing to do this summer, as TBR Football reports that Spurs are considering a bid for Noni Madueke.

The Chelsea star has shown glimpses of his potential at Stamford Bridge this season with his electric pace and shooting ability causing problems within the Premier League.

Spurs have appreciated Madueke from before he joined the Blues and have remained interested ever since, with the upcoming transfer window potentially being the one where they push to sign him.

It is understood that Chelsea are willing to sell the 23-year-old as he has failed to win over Enzo Maresca this season, with the Blues boss having publicly called him out on numerous occasions.

Chelsea will want £30million to consider selling Madueke, which will force Levy to dig deep into his pockets if he wants to provide Postecoglou with a new winger.

Tottenham will have competition to sign Madueke

Spurs might be interested in signing Madueke this summer, but bringing him in might not be a routine situation, as other teams are monitoring him.

Newcastle United held talks with Chelsea last summer over a deal for Madueke, and even though nothing came of that, the Magpies are understood to still be interested in him.

Aston Villa are also fans of the England international, giving Tottenham several teams they will need to beat out to sign him.

This is certainly one to watch ahead of the summer.
