Tottenham could ‘agree Bissouma compromise’ as summer exit looms

Yves Bissouma could depart Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham have a remarkable amount of work left to do this summer, with much of the focus fixated on the futures of those currently in North London.

Cristian Romero has been heavily linked with an exit from Spurs, as has Bissouma, who has now entered the final year of his contract.

Juventus have shown an interest in signing the midfielder, with a swap deal for Douglas Luiz mooted, with that interest likely to accelerate in the coming weeks.

Juventus weighing up options ahead of Bissouma swoop

Bissouma had a troubled campaign last time out, though the same could be said for several Tottenham players under Ange Postecoglou.

However, those performances matched with his contract status have cast a shadow of doubt over where his future lies, and Juventus chief Damien Comolli is said to be weighing up the options ahead of a deal.

Bissouma had a tough season last time out for Tottenham.

That is according to a report in the print edition of the La Gazzetta dello Sport (8 July, pg10), with it also stating that a compromise on the value set by Spurs “does not seem impossible”.

Daniel Levy is said to have set a price tag of around £15million for the Malian international, though it seems that may be negotiated.

Tottenham at risk of repeating 2024/25 nightmare campaign

In terms of first-team arrivals, there are no new ones so far, with Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso both joining permanently after a loan spell last time out.

That needs to change as a matter of urgency if Frank is to have any chance of achieving success domestically next season.

Several additions are needed, and the German will be intent on securing them as early as possible to ensure he has time to embed them into his side and identify other areas that need to be looked at before the window closes.
