Tottenham react after £40m Jorgen Strand Larsen latest revealed for January transfer
Tottenham are carefully assessing whether to pursue Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen this January transfer window.
Joe Lewis is ready to give Thomas Frank money to spend in the winter market, though many Spurs supporters remain sceptical.
Tottenham lost 3-2 to Bournemouth on Wednesday, and outrage over the Spurs boss intensified online after he was pictured drinking from an Arsenal-branded cup.
Attackers are needed at N17, as Tottenham’s interest in Strand Larsen will need to be mulled over, given the uncertainty around Frank’s position.
Now, the Lilywhites could be moving away from making an offer for the Wolves forward.
Tottenham weigh up expensive move for Jorgen Strand Larsen
Dominic Solanke is returning from injury and will soon be able to impress Frank for the first time this season in competitive games.
Richarlison has been firing in the goals for Tottenham, and with Solanke soon to be available, the specific need for Strand Larsen may be questioned.
As relayed by The Spurs Web on X, Simon Jones understands that the Lilywhites are stuck on a move for the Norwegian due to a lack of goal-scoring form.
Jones also revealed that Wolves’ asking price for Strand Larsen is £40million, when reporting for the Daily Mail.
When taking a further look at the Wolves centre-forward’s stats this season, it’s clear to see why a proposed £40m move may worry internal figures at N17.

Strand Larsen’s stats for Wolves are poor to say the least
Wolves are rock bottom of the Premier League and look destined for the Championship, despite an improvement in results under Rob Edwards recently.
Strand Larsen has been one of the reasons for his side’s atrocious points tally of seven in the league, only scoring one top-flight goal this season.
| Games (Starts) | Shots | Goals | xG (expected goals) |
| 19 (14) | 19 | 1 | 2.81 xG |
The statistics show that the tall forward is failing to find shooting opportunities, and when he does, he often misses more than he should, with an xG of 2.81.
It must be considered that he is playing for a team that struggles to create chances, but it’s no excuse for only having one goal at this stage of the season.
Tottenham seem to be making an educated decision by calming their pursuit of Strand Larsen.
