Tottenham quietly confirm exit of player who was in squad vs Borussia Dortmund
Tottenham seem to be focusing more on outgoings than incomings in the January transfer window.
The Lewis family are still weighing up Thomas Frank’s future after poor performances of late, but the Dane may have bought himself some extra time at N17.
Spurs beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday, and Frank seems likely to remain in charge for the clash against Burnley this weekend.
Joe Lewis has money to spend this window, but may be hesitant on further additions after Conor Gallagher, considering the doubt surrounding the head coach.
Tottenham have let multiple young stars leave for development purposes already this month, with Yusuf Akhamrich next up.

Yusuf Akhamrich leaves for Bristol Rovers on loan
Akhamrich is highly rated at Spurs, with the winger seeing success through the youth ranks at Hotspur Way in recent years.
He’s clearly caught the eye of Frank, as the Spurs boss opted to select the 20-year-old in his matchday squad to play Borussia Dortmund.
- Akhamrich has made the bench against Manchester United, Dortmund and FC Copenhagen this season
- He’s registered six goal contributions in 12 games for the Under-21s this campaign
- The right-winger is under contract with Spurs until June of 2028
Tottenham’s official website confirmed on Thursday that Akhamrich is joining League Two side Bristol Rovers until the end of the season.
But the Lilywhites seemed to stay silent when it came to announcing an update on social media.
No posts on the transfer have yet to be published on X or Instagram, which is surprising considering how much hype there is on the forward.
Bristol Rovers noticed Akhamrich’s talent when they were taken to penalties by Tottenham’s U21s back in August.
The wide forward had a terrific performance, scoring a goal against the side he’s now joining, and all parties will be hoping for the deal to turn out progressive.

This is the next Tottenham youngster to follow in Akhamrich’s footsteps
Tottenham are blessed with a talented pool of youth talent at Hotspur Way, and as seen in Akhamrich, youngsters can come into Frank’s thinking on matchdays.
Luca Williams-Barnett is another top talent for the U21s team, and the 17-year-old is putting in performances beyond his years.
| Games | Goals | Assists |
| 9 | 7 | 5 |
The teenager managed to make his professional debut for the Lilywhites in the 3-0 Carabao Cup win over Doncaster Rovers in September, but was limited to just three minutes of playing time.
Considering his age, Williams-Barnett could arguably be the biggest prospect at Hotspur Way, and it would be sensible for Tottenham to find him a suitable club this month.
