Tottenham ‘play a blinder’ as brother of Man City player snapped up

Tottenham have signed the brother of a Manchester City player in their latest move of the summer transfer window.

Fans of the North London club have waited patiently for action in the market so far, with just the confirmation of Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel’s signatures to chew on.

But activity has looked to ramp up over the last week, with a rumoured big-money move for West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus in the offing.

Spurs sign Chelsea youngster

The latest move for Spurs appears to be one that will bolster the academy.

Past windows have demonstrated a clearly concerted effort to bolster the future of the first-team, with several young players arriving from around Europe.

Luka Vuskovic was the latest to join up with Thomas Frank’s squad after a deal was agreed in 2023 for the talented defender, who has already made his debut for the Croatian national team.

Another, was the hugely talented Lucas Bergvall, who arrived from Djurgarden in 2024 and immediately made a telling impact in Ange Postecoglou’s team.

Mason Melia is another name who could well be known in the future, with the young Irish striker set to join Spurs in 2026 after breaking into senior football as a 15-year-old.

And the club look to have found their latest young talent from closer to home. According to Lilywhite Rose (4 July), Spurs have signed Ezekiel Adesina from Chelsea, with the youngster set to join up with the academy.

Adesina’s brother, Jeremiah, has also left Chelsea ahead of a move to Manchester City.

Spurs are packing the rafters with talent

With the latest talent set to join Spurs, it is difficult not to get carried away with the legions of exciting young players set to play out their futures in lilywhite.

While immediate focus should be applied to the first team, the Tottenham of tomorrow will soon be impossible to ignore.

And the emergence of players such as Mikey Moore and Bergvall prove that they may be banging on Frank’s door sooner, rather than later.

Additionally, Spurs have allowed themselves to gain a position in which they are sure to at least benefit financially, should some of the crop do not find their way into the first team.
