Tottenham news: Richarlison transfer twist emerges as new meeting revealed
Richarlison faces an uncertain future at Tottenham ahead of the summer transfer window.
Spurs forked out an initial sum of £50million to sign Richarlison from Everton in 2022, owing the Merseyside-based club another £10m in add-ons.
However, the Brazil international has struggled for form in North London, with only 18 goals to show for his 80 appearances across all competitions.
The attacker’s injury record has also been a cause for concern at Tottenham. He has missed a total of 33 matches already this season.

Richarlison subject of multiple enquiries
Richarlison has two more years remaining on his contract at Tottenham, but might not be there to see it out as he could be on his way out this summer.
Several clubs in Brazil have already enquired about the possibility of signing the 27-year-old, according to Eduardo Burgos.
The Diario AS journalist, who recently reported on Atletico Madrid’s interest in Cristian Romero, revealed via his X account on Friday (4 April) that a return to Brazil for Richarlison is not ruled out, although it is deemed difficult as things stand.

That is because the former Everton ace prefers to stay in Europe, whether that is at Tottenham or elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are set to meet Richarlison in the coming weeks to discuss his future, with a potential transfer on the cards.

Tottenham must sell Richarlison
Tottenham will hope they can get some value out of the £50m they spent on Richarlison’s signing three years ago. However, the sooner they admit defeat in that regard, the better.
The Brazilian has not shown enough to prove that he will turn things around between now and the end of his contract, and it is better for both parties that they part ways this summer.
It will allow Spurs to recoup at least some of the money they paid Everton, although a transfer to Brazil is unlikely to help in that regard.
From Tottenham’s perspective, selling Richarlison to a club in Saudi Arabia might be the most sensible option.
However, Richarlison’s preference to stay in Europe is likely to become a stumbling block.
