Tottenham midfielder thanks staff as he says goodbye at Hotspur Way

Tottenham face a period of major uncertainty despite winning the Europa League title this season.

Ange Postecoglou’s side finished in an embarrassing 17th place in the Premier League, failing to hit the 40-point mark and breaking the record for having the most defeats without being relegated.

It remains to be seen if Daniel Levy will sack the Aussie in the coming days but moves are already underway in the player department with a number of exits signed off on by technical director Johan Lange.

Tottenham U21s star Max Robson bids farewell

Max Robson is one of a number of young players who’ll be leaving Tottenham when his contract expires at the end of June.

Spurs announced their retained list on 31 May, with Robson being joined by Will Andiyapan, Archie Baptiste, Jahziah Linton, Maxwell McKnight and Jaden Williams in being released from the club’s development squad.

Under-18s players Timileyin Adekunle, Dante Orr and Charlie Warren are also leaving Hotspur Way.

Robson, 22, leaves Tottenham after spending the majority of his life playing for the North London club.

He took to Instagram on Friday to bid an emotional farewell to all of those who played such a vital role in his development.

“After 15 incredible years at this football club, the time has come for me to say goodbye and move on to the next chapter in my career,” said Robson via his personal Instagram account.

“This club has been my home, my family, and a place that has shaped me in ways I will always be grateful for. I want to thank the staff, my teammates, and everyone behind the scenes who have supported me every step of the way. Your dedication and belief in me have meant everything to me.

“Although I’m moving on, I’ll carry Spurs with me always. Thank you for the memories, the lessons, and the love.

“Forever grateful. Thank you.”

Tottenham announce major exits ahead of summer transfer window

Fraser Forster, Sergio Reguilon and Alfie Whiteman will also be leaving Spurs at the end of the month when their contracts expire.

Timo Werner, who was on loan at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, will be returning to RB Leipzig after failing to impress in the British capital with just three goals in 41 appearances.

It’s likely that there’ll be more exits to come at all levels of the club.

Postecoglou’s future is obviously a huge talking point but his assistant coach Ryan Mason looks set to leave Spurs to join West Brom.

Mason, 33, has assisted Antonio Conte, Nuno Espirito Santo and Jose Mourinho at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but he now looks set to replace Tony Mowbray as West Brom’s manager.
