Tottenham ‘hold one major advantage’ as Savinho’s agent flies in for Man City exit talks
Tottenham are attempting to sign Manchester City winger Savinho in a blockbuster transfer, and they may now be confident of a deal.
Savinho joined Man City after an outstanding season at Girona, but despite impressing in flashes, the Brazilian did not become a regular starter under Pep Guardiola.
The winger was not expected to leave earlier on in the window, but Tottenham’s interest in recent weeks has piqued Savinho’s interest in an exit from City.
Thomas Frank has already signed Mohammed Kudus and is in talks to recruit Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, and Spurs could end August with a few excellent additions.

Savinho wants regular football
The Daily Mail have now reported that Savinho’s agent, Frederico Moraes from ProManager, has now flown into England from Brazil to try and seal the 21-year-old’s transfer to Tottenham.
It is now clear that Savinho wants to join Spurs, and it is reported that the deciding factor is more regular game time.
- Injuries to James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, as well as the departure of Son Heung-min, has meant that Savinho would easily walk into the Tottenham lineup.
Man City are set to demand around £67million for Savinho, who wants to play regularly ahead of the World Cup next summer, as he hopes to impress Carlo Ancelotti enough to break into a squad stacked full of attacking talent.

Further negotiations are set to take place next week, but if Spurs can strike a deal with City, they could now be confident that Savinho will agree personal terms to make the move to North London, with regular football a stronger possibility at Tottenham than City.

Where Savinho would play under Frank
Savinho’s time at City has seen him feature on both wings, but predominantly on the right, while his incredible campaign at Girona the year before saw him operate mostly off the left.
Although primarily left-footed, Savinho is strong on both feet, and his remarkable speed and agility makes him a good fit on either side.
With Kudus potentially set to play on the right, Savinho could line up on the left to offer width, and if Eze also joins to play in the middle, Spurs will suddenly have a dangerous supporting attack filled with speed and creativity.
