Tottenham goalkeeper says goodbye to Spurs in emotional message

Tottenham face a summer of uncertainty ahead of them with changes coming both on and off the pitch.

Ange Postecoglou will reportedly be replaced as manager, despite delivering the Europa League title for the club.

The Australian coaches’ exit has not been confirmed, although there have been many departures on the player front, with the squad ready for an overhaul following an uninspiring domestic season.

Charlie Warren bids farewell after a decade

Charlie Warren is one of many academy players who will be leaving Tottenham after the club informed him of his release.

The goalkeeper, who joined Tottenham when he was eight, took to Instagram to post an emotional message ahead of his departure.

Having been at the club for a decade, Warren thanked those involved in his development in a heartfelt post.

“After 10 amazing years, my time at Tottenham Hotspur has now come to an end,” he said on his personal Instagram page.

“I would like to thank everybody involved at the club for helping me become the person and the player that I am today.

“Thank you”

The 18-year-old is not the only youth product who will be leaving the North London outfit this summer.

Following the announcement of their released/ retained list, Under-18 players joining Warren in departing Spurs are Timileyin Adekunle and Dante Orr.

Youth academy prospects Max Robson, Will Andiyapan, Archie Baptiste, Jahziah Linton, Maxwell McKnight and Jaden Williams have also all been released from the Hotspur Way.

Tottenham squad shake-up begins

While Postecoglou’s future remains unclear for the moment, some departures from the playing squad have already been confirmed.

Timo Werner will be heading back to Bundesliga side RB Leipzig following the end of his loan spell, after an underwhelming season in North London.

Fraser Forster, Sergio Reguilon and Alfie Whiteman are also exiting the club at the end of the month once their contracts expire.

Kevin Danso has made his switch permanent after impressing on loan from Ligue 1 side Lens, with the club confirming the signing for £21.01 million.

Tottenham have been linked with some potential incomings as well, as they prepare for Champions League football next season.

Leroy Sane is one name that has been rumoured, although North London rivals Arsenal are also vying for the German winger’s signature.

Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze is another player on the list as the club looks to bolster its attacking options this summer.
