Tottenham fans will be furious with Daniel Levy as new Eberechi Eze detail emerges
Tottenham have now seen their proposed deal to sign Eberechi Eze collapse as Arsenal beat them to his signature.
After weeks of negotiations, Tottenham verbally agreed a deal with Crystal Palace to sign Eze, but they were shocked as Arsenal swooped in to beat them to it.
Daniel Levy is already an unpopular figure within the Spurs fanbase, but this latest development will intensify the criticism of the Tottenham Chairman.
New details have now emerged of how Arsenal beat Tottenham to Eze’s signature, and these reflect very poorly on Levy.

Daniel Levy cost Tottenham in Eberechi Eze race
Tottenham’s talks with Crystal Palace dragged on endlessly, and Eze started in their first game of the season as a deal could not be agreed before.
The Independent have now reported the finer details of how Eze ended up choosing Arsenal over Spurs, and a big part of it comes down to Levy’s negotiations with Palace chairman Steve Parish.
It is claimed that there were frustrations in negotiations as Levy could not agree to their demands regarding the structure of the deal and add-ons, and this meant the deal dragged on to a point where Arsenal were able to swoop in.

It is reported that Parish has a better relationship with Arsenal vice-Chairman Tim Lewis than he does with Levy, and this played a crucial part in the Gunners securing their deal so quickly.
While Eze’s desire to join Arsenal was out of Levy’s control, it is yet another failed signing after a long, public pursuit, and this is a failure which could have major repercussions.

Spurs heading for disaster in transfer window
After a promising start to the transfer window saw Mohammed Kudus join from West Ham, Tottenham’s summer has taken a nosedive in mood.
With just days remaining in the window, Spurs are yet to further reinforce their attacking midfield options, and if they end the summer without an alternative to Eze, they can expect little progress this season.
Injuries to James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski meant that Eze would be the ideal signing, but if Levy fails to secure a different option in the position, he will seriously hamper Thomas Frank’s plans to rejuvenate the team.
