Tottenham could see ‘extraordinary’ target join Harry Kane at Bayern Munich
Daniel Levy could see another Tottenham target slip through his fingers as Bayern Munich pounces.
Harry Kane and Tottenham fans have had their differences since the star striker left North London.
The Englishman left to win silverware, only for Spurs to lift the UEFA Europa League a season later. Tottenham fans were left disappointed by the England skipper’s reaction and by how long it took Kane to acknowledge Son Heung-min’s departure from Spurs.
But it is safe to say that Lilywhites have been doing well since their top goalscorer departed. The North London club has become a hot destination this summer, with Xavi Simons the latest to arrive at Tottenham.
However, Tottenham have had their mishaps in the market and could undergo another one before deadline day.

Bayern Munich wants Ademola Lookman
Tottenham have been linked with Ademola Lookman in the final days of the summer transfer window.
The forward has always been well-respected among his peers and coaches. Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini has admitted his admiration for Lookman in the past.
In quotes provided by Sosfanta, translated by Soccernet on 25 December, he said: “He’s [Lookman] a top player. In terms of character, there are perhaps players who have more continuity and are more solid, but that’s normal.
“Even his role is difficult. He always has to be very fit, but he has become a truly extraordinary player, among the best in Europe and the world. Because he has improved his consistency and in some ways he has started to be an important Atalanta player”.
However, both Spurs and Gasperini may need to bid farewell to Lookman in the next couple of hours.
As reported by David Ornstein via X on Sunday, 31 August, Bayern have proposed a loan deal including a sizeable fee and a significant buy option for Lookman.
The 27-year-old continues to explore his options and remains set on leaving. As such, Levy will need to up his game if he has any chance of beating Bayern in this race.

Mathys Tel and Wilson Odobert to benefit
Mathys Tel and Wilson Odobert will benefit greatly if Tottenham do not sign Lookman this summer.
The two have already had little gametime under Thomas Frank:
- Tel has made two appearances and has played 19 minutes this season
- Odobert has made three appearances for Spurs, accumilating 58 minutes
While Odobert seems to be Frank’s preferred option between the two, both have struggled to register significant minutes thus far.
The season is long, and there is still a lot of football to be played. However, a little less competition could be just what both players need to prove themselves under Frank.
