Tottenham ‘could save West Ham millions’ as new defender signing gift wrapped
Tottenham could inadvertently give West Ham United a helping hand in this summer’s transfer window, having poached Mohammed Kudus from them last week.
The sale of Kudus has already helped the Hammers when it comes to complying with Profit and Sustainability Rules.
Thomas Frank’s side have been preparing well themselves for next season, with Morgan Gibbs-White still on their radar despite complications with the deal.
Tottenham, though, could again help out West Ham again this summer, with one of their former players on the Irons’ radar.

Sergio Reguilon could join West Ham this summer
Reguilon left Spurs at the end of last season, having struggled for gametime.
Spain international Reguilon had a turbulent time in North London and had been sent out on numerous loans in recent seasons.
Now, the left-back could be set for a new permanent home at West Ham after Tottenham decided against renewing his contract.
Reguilon has previously worked with Spurs boss Frank while on loan with Brentford, though a reunion with his former manager was never on the cards this summer after Daniel Levy’s decision not to extend his stay.
According to CaughtOffside (14 July), West Ham are one of a number of Premier League sides interested in the 28-year-old.

Reguilon would bring a wealth of experience to the Hammers, having played for Atlético Madrid and Manchester United on loan from Spurs.
The Irons are not without competition for the defender, with strong interest from clubs in Italy and fellow Premier League sides Bournemouth and Everton.
The move would offer some relief for West Ham, with the Lilywhites’ Premier League rivals struggling to make any signings so far and, of course, losing Kudus.
While Reguilon does not have the quality to be a Tottenham regular, he would fit in well at West Ham and would ultimately save them millions signing a player of similar stature.

Tottenham won’t regret letting Reguilon leave
Reguilon was a bit-part player for Tottenham last season.
Spurs must move on from players who have been unable to prove themselves at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and that seems to be what they’re doing this summer.
Reguilon failed under multiple managers and could never keep his starting place, even in some poor Tottenham sides.
Defence is now a priority for Frank to improve, given their lack of quality and depth last season.
