Tomori twist: Di Marzio shares Tottenham transfer bombshell after agreement

Fikayo Tomori is not open to joining Tottenham despite AC Milan reaching an agreement to sell him, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Sky Italia journalist reported via his personal X account (1 February) that the England international wants to stay with the Serie A giants.

He is focused on Milan’s upcoming derby clash against Inter in the league on Sunday (2 February), as per Luca Bendoni, who works with Di Marzio.

Tottenham face Fikayo Tomori rejection

Di Marzio revealed on Friday (31 January) that Tottenham have reached an agreement with the Rossoneri to sign Tomori for a deal worth £25million.

However, it appears the transfer may now be off the table as the former Chelsea centre-back is not sold on the idea of joining Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Di Marzio has not mentioned if Tomori has rejected Spurs entirely, which means there is still a possibility that he will return to England before the winter transfer window slams shut on Monday, 3 February.

However, it appears the 27-year-old will give Daniel Levy the same reply that Mathys Tel gave him when he flew to Germany to complete a £50m deal for the Bayern Munich attacker [Fabrizio Romano].

That would put the North London giants in trouble as they look to strengthen their defence in the final three days of the window.

As per Fabrizio Romano, Postecoglou want to sign as many as two centre-backs before the window slams shut as he fears Radu Dragusin has picked up a “serious” injury.

It remains to be seen if they have alternatives in mind.

In other Tottenham news, Spurs have made a move to sign this Premier League star valued at £60million.
